Jet Engine Stunt
Rotoscope of Ryan Dunn's Jet Engine stunt from Jackass 3D
This project is an experiment in blurting the line between realism and stylization, so a (relatively) subtler clip from Jackass was used to try and render in a unique way.
Done on the lightbox with Prismacolor pencils and Copic markers. Audio from the same scene in the film.
Mask Man
Entry for Loopdeloop’s January 2015 challenge, “Faces”
This piece was mainly a warmdown after producing a longer-form short, but it was also approached it as a study in limited hues and color palette as well as the looping format. The martial arts routine is partially rotoscoped from Northern Shaolin Style kung fu.
