Fun with Ned

My friend Ned Haweeli is an insane drummer. Sometimes I annoy him bad enough that he sends me a track. These are some videos I’ve made with his music.

This was a quick experiment in pixilation/stop motion.

While walking around downtown Savannah with my camera, I noticed how each crack and imperfection in the ground kind of tells its own tiny story. I decided to follow these stories and use them as my frames.

Neither Mike nor Mr. Chobani are real people, so don't worry.

Daylight Savings

I was playing with 16mm film last winter when Ned sent me this other track.

Although I hadn’t initially planned on doing anything with the film I had, once I put this drumming on top of the rough edit I had, everything started coming together.

Added a few simple overlays in AE and borrowed a Ticked Off Vic sound bite from YouTube and baby now you’ve got a house band.
